Ashley Finance gets into the Christmas spirit
Ashley Finance has been getting into the festive spirit, with a number of Christmas activities.
On Friday 16th December all staff donned their best Christmas attire for the Christmas jumper day competition. All in the name of charity, everyone kindly donated a small value to take part. Lee Minshull, Ashley Client Manager encouraged the Ashley team to dig out their festive wear for the day with great success.
The competition for best dressed was tough, but after Craig Parry from the Credit Control team appeared in a full Santa costume, there was only one winner! As winner, Craig decided that the £63 raised should be donated to the Friends of Rosie Children’s Cancer Research Fund.
The independent charity, based in Manchester is dedicated to raising money to support children’s cancer research projects that may not be possible without this funding. The charity was set up after five year old Rosie Larkin lost her fight against cancer in 1991.
As well as Christmas jumper day, the team at Ashley have also been collecting items to support the Wood Street Mission’s Christmas Appeal. The local children’s charity helps children and families living in Manchester and Salford with much needed items at this time of year. This year the Christmas Appeal asked for donations of gifts and toys for children up to the age of 18. As well as gifts, the charity has also asked for everyday food items which will be available from the community shop.
The Ashley team generously brought in a real range of items for the appeal, which were donated to the Mission last week. Lee Green from the Collections team, kindly organised the collection and delivered all of the donations.
As we approach the Christmas holiday period, we just wanted to let you know our office will be closing for a short period.
The office will close at 12pm on Friday 23rd December and reopen at 8:30am on Tuesday 3rd January.
From all at Ashley, we wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
